Mastery Collaborative Resources List
At the MC 2018 Winter Quarterly on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Microsoft in Times Square, we shared this working document with attendees: Mastery Collaborative Resources List. We curated this list of resources in response to “wish list” requests from MC member schools across the five boroughs of NYC. Our community's stated wishes are fulfilled in this working document. We are very excited to share this back to the community whose resources appear here—and to others who find it useful. We aim to add more useful resources to this resource collection over time. Enjoy—and deep thanks to all the MC member schools who have shared mastery-related resources and will share more in the future, for the benefit of others in our community and beyond. |
Resources from Frank McCourt High School's Living Lab visit!
Including rubrics, grading policy, handbooks for students, families, and staff, course catalog, and course materials. In short, a gold mine! "Grades 9 and 10 were our master training wheels, but now in upper house, we have more control over our own learning. I talk to friends from others schools and they are taking "math" and "US History," but students here can choose these unique intersession classes. I'm in Shark Tank now! I’m probably going to major in business so I will use this in the future." —Jackson, student at Frank McCourt HS |

UA Maker Grading Policy, 2017-18 MC Living Lab School UA Maker's Grading Policy is accessible by clicking the link above! It includes a useful glossary of terms, detailed clarity on how grades are calculated, a policy for making up missing work and improving one's mastery grade, a course extension policy, and a scale of marks. UA Maker has put much collaborative thought into this work, and we are their beneficiaries. Give it a look and let us know what you think—especially if you have questions. |
